Beluga plays fetch, cat plays doorman, dogs on beer cans, and om-nom-nom-AWOOOOOO!
And finally: Sing for Your Supper

The beluga whale video was almost too much for me – came this close to actually sobbing.
I don’t know whether this is true or not, but I just read elsewhere that this video of the beluga playing fetch is not what it seems. Apparently there was a once-captive whale who may have escaped a Russian military program. It is lonely, malnourished and may be injured. It is seeking food & attention from people because it’s been trained to do so.
There’s an update on the whale video post which says the whale was found near Norway so that would support your theory. I have read about a significant number of whales captured by Russians relatively recently. I have forgotten all the details. I guess my impulse to sob was the right one.
Not gonna lie…kinda hoping Chance becomes a foster fail.
Planning on adopting, are we?😉
I wish!
I just think after all the work she did to earn his trust, he should stay with her.
O, I gotcha–interpreted that incorrectly!😀
Snorted coffee laughing at the line in the article about Quilty the cat who let other cats out of their enclosure: ‘One of them had peed on the receptionist’s mouse pad…’
Coincidence? I think not.
Dogs are meant for humans and humans are meant for dogs. 15,000 plus years of co-evolution overcame Chance’s fear that day and was at work in his rescuer’s heart. The humans who dump dogs should be ashamed. Dogs can live without humans but it’s a miserable existence compared to partnering with humans and visa versa.
And the Beluga! I wonder if s/he had played with humans before.
Totally off topic.
Last night, I was rereading the post about the dog that communicated with his owner using word buttons. I got to thinking how much similar training I would have given Little Duckie, and I suddenly I missed Duckie so much that I made a decision. Tomorrow I’m going to call my specialist and ask him, specifically in regards to MY case, if having a bird would be bad. The doctor who said I needed to rehome Duckie was a specialist, but not for my situation.
If my doctor says I can have a bird, I’m going to talk to my neighbour about getting Duckie back.
Good luck!
Oh, Duckie, I don’t know what your situation is, but I truly hope that whatever it is, Little Duckie can be part of it!
Good luck, Duckie, I hope you get the answer you want.
Awww. Duckie. Give it a try. I have learned my medical situation is sometimes way different than doctors assume.
That corgi’s ears are longer than its legs. I’m surprised it can hold its head up.
Duckie, good luck! I know you’ve been missing your birdie baby.
if it’s true above the beluga, I hope somebody can help it.
Good luck Duckie, and prayers for your health and a happy reunion!
