Our favorite guitarist again, plus werewolf mice, stuffed hamsters, dogs at work, and PASICKIE!!!
And finally: Cat Splash Fever
From reader Hoosierina: “My cat Boo has requested I forwarded his response to your earlier video.”
I saw Queen live in 1986. It was Brian May’s birthday!
Also, “pasickie!!”
Saw them live in 1977-78!
Pasickie!
lol…I was still saying “pasickie” in 1977… 😜
PASICKIE!! LOL!
I still feel that way about ice cream…
Ze Frank needs to do a True Facts About… video for that mouse.
My fear of mice escalated by 10 orders of magnitude! Ze Frank would make an astonishingly true video about them.
What an enviable life Brian May has had – music, astrophysics, and hedgehogs! The mouse howling at the moon is just the greatest – a fearsome 3.5 inch long predator. And Pasickie? Those were the days! But I’m still agin it.
Brian May is always awesome.
Boo seems so intent. That’s why I always put the lid down.
OMG dogs at work! The puppies from Chile—how could the officers not stare down at them and talk in baby talk?
Saving other links for lunch. Monday is off to a poor start because my work computer won’t boot up.
Re: Dogs at Work
I wish to be greeted by a happy Husky every morning when I come in.
Dogs at work – can’t decide which is my favorite. The happy husky in a tutu!!! Definitely in the top 5 along with Chile canine unit, bring your dog to work and you’re a canine unit (I’m thinking that’s a stuffie??? It’s so small it can’t be real, I hope.), and inducting the newest police dog.
Ok, what’s with pasickie? Are you talking about that lovely Polish pastry eaten right before Lent or is there some other meaning I’m missing.
And that kitty in the toilet! Yeah, equal time for the splashing cats of the world but reminded me of a racoon washing his food.
It refers to a controversial post at the old ranch that featured [gasp!] a baby human! (I actually don’t recall the specific post, I just remember the later references to it). I believe “pasickie” was the baby’s attempt at the word popsicle.
Yes, it was a baby trying to say “popsicle.” I’ll see if I can find it in the Internet Archive.
The cabinet door handles look like googly eyes…
Cannot unsee the googly eyes XD
I KNOW! Just noticed them for the very first time after I posted the video. Not only that, they seem to have Worried Eyebrows! Aaaaaaaagggggghhh!
I could watch that every day for the rest of my life and never get tired of it. That kid is (almost) as cute as a puppy! 😅🐕 🐶
Hey, I generally prefer animal cuteness but even I agree, pawsickie baby is awfully cute….and btw, no one laughs agreeably and lovingly when I do that with my ice cream. sheesh
Yes, the controversy being whether or not cute human babies could be included, or if only cute animals should be allowed.
I believe it was the violentest commentroversy ever at the old ranch.
That’s the way I remember it.
I’m truly glad I discovered CO after all that. I quite like babies, as a rule. I call them Human Puppies. And amazingly enough, most of the time their parents get the joke. 🙂
It (the Pasickie commentroversy) wasn’t terrible at all.
OK, thanks for the heads up. Hope I don’t start something. I must say though, my first thought when seeing the baby and ice cream was huh, I thought this page was for 4-legged cuteness. But hey, cuteness is cuteness no matter human or animal kingdom.
But what about all the cute baby birds? And spider paws and baby octo-pawses and squidlings and fish?
Spider paws are adorable. The rest of the spider – not so much.
Not even this one?
Aw Duckie, thanks for this find. Tabby spiders are the most adorable of all.
I dread to think of the size of their webs…
Holy cats, Duckie, that’s amazing!
and don’t forget the axolotls!
I LOVE axolotls! I would never forget them.
The return of “pasickie!!!” And the Dogs at Work – is there anything dogs can’t/don’t do to enrich our lives? The answer is “no.” 🥰❤
I would have really enjoyed looking at the dogs with jobs link, but Pleated Jeans would not allow me to see them, saying that I was running an ad blocker, when I was actually not running an ad blocker. It’s no fun having links to things that will not allow me to look at them.
Eek! Thanks for telling me about that.
FWIW, my browser of choice is Brave, and Brave’s default setting is ad-blocking. But I could still see the Pleated Jeans link. And it was awfully cute—CaseyHamilton, I hope you can get in somehow!
pleated jeans is notorious for their ads (just in the past couple of days they’ve returned to being obnoxious)… but the content is pretty good and seems to be improving. My particular favorites are Tumblr Gets Deep on Thursdays, and Self-Care Sunday.
I admit I prefer furry/feathery kids to lil’ humans.
I love Brian May’s beautiful white hair and the hardcore mice as well.
Just remember, Brian May was once a li’l human.
Boggles the mind, doesn’t it?
He really is pretty cool.
Also, on a complete tangent, I think “The Hedgie-Gro Difference” was when I fell in love with NTMTOM.
I’m so happy that so many people remembered the PASICKIE post. As I recall, the controversy garnered hundred of comments. It was hilarious!!
I think the one that took the cake, so to speak, was the baby nomming on the kitten tail. We were way beyond clutching pearls on that one.
I expected my monitor to bleed from the language
Oh my. I missed that one. Probably just as well. I was not really a commenter and did not (mostly) read the comments. After the end I went back to the beginning and saw that I had started reading within a month or two of the beginning and stuck with it to the end.I still have my world peace hamster T shirt.
Speaking of giggling babies…
No love for the hamster cheeks? Not even the little (guy?) pouching an entire whole baby corn?…
