When a kind man rescued a cat with a can stuck on its head, the frightened and angry cat rewarded him with hisses instead of kisses. So the good samaritan gave his new friend a choice: run free or stay with me? The brave cat made the right call, and with a little time and patience gave his rescuer the cuddles he had earned. I don’t know either whether to hiss or laugh. Today was a really nice day, my brother didn’t turn up, so I had a calm off-day from work, it was the last day before we need to return to work in the office. So I went to do some gardening. When I finished, dirty like a pig I realized there was no water. There is a burst pipe somewhere in town, so no water for us roughly until midnight. As I cannot go to bed covered in dirt, I will need to be up until dawn to have a bath and wash my hair only to get up at 5,00 to be able to return to the office in the morning 🙂 Life would be so boring if it was easy 🙂
I so would like to be bored sometimes 🙂
So very sorry, Ems. I can’t bear to go without a shower every day, and once I get all dirty, I can’t relax until I’m clean.
I think I got this as a punishment for thinking I could have a nice day in 2020 🙂
Yes, it is going to be a long night for me.
Ems, have you tried rolling about in sand? It seems to work for chinchillas.
I have only cat litter, will try that 🙂
So now Marci is shaking his head in disbelief and trying to show me what the litter is for.
🤣🤣🤣 Oh, Ems, I’m so sorry you can’t have a proper shower or bath. I hope the problem is fixed soon. But you certainly have a way with words!
I had an awesome bath at dawn, thanks for asking.
Otherwise my smell would have reached NYC by this time 🙂
I hope you feel a bit better too.
I have two cases of bottled water (the grocery store loyalty club keeps giving them to me) that I’d love to donate for the cause.
I agree, I HATE not being able to shower.
Oh man. No running water. I know it is a privilege and I don’t mean to sound all prissy but damn…that’s rough!
Yes, especially in an unexpected way.
And wild kitty? I think you made the right choice! 😺
Love this gentle man and his formerly feral kitty. Scorpius still has days where he doesn’t want to be touched at all, even though he appreciates chin scritchies.
It is the same with my Marci.
Prime Minister Billy Bunter has decreed that at-risk groups such as the elderly can now emerge from their lairs if they observe social distancing and don’t stray too far from home (only Dominic Cummings is allowed to do that, because of Reasons). This ought to be good news because my dad hasn’t left the house since 5th February, except for a hospital appointment. Alas, after last week’s tragi-comic accident my left foot is still so swollen I can’t cram it into a shoe, so wheelchair-pushing duties will be out of the question for a while.
Re the video, I’d probably be a bit snappy if I got my head stuck in a can.
Alice, hope your foot recovers soon so you and your dad can enjoy that famed British sunshine.
After Brexit, do we stop calling you Britain or the United Kingdom and go back to England?
Those fangs are just a front.
So very late to the party today but I’ve loved all the posts and comments. I saw this video earlier in the week on another site and this gentleman needs to be nominated for a Cuteropolis Hero Award. Thank you for taking care of kitty and for kitty to realize he’s better in than out of the car.
Hey, AJ! That’s a good idea! One of my favorite websites, What’s That Bug?, has a Bug Humanitarian award for people who go above and beyond to save insects. Maybe it could be an occasional feature on Cutetropolis. What d’ya think, NTMTOM?
Rinse all cans. Leave them a bit soapy. Crush the tops closed.
Cut all closed circles open, whatever their size, whatever their material (including elastic bands).
Those are very good ideas. Thank you!
