Belinda’s botched facelift leaves her with an ear where her nose should be, and now she can smell when her husband Blake is lying to her. Meanwhile, Reynaldo’s attempt to burn down his furniture store for the insurance money fails when he forgets that the fire department is just across the street. And in the bucolic Schplortman household, little Penny suspects that Herbert Schplortman might not be her real father…
I know what I’ll be binge-watching, Andrew Y.
Yay, the Guiding Leash is back!
Don’t worry, Penny, it’s just a recessive gene.
Oh, so his name’s Gene? I knew it!
lol
(my dad’s name is Gene…hmm…)
My dad’s name is Gene, too! 🧐
I would cuddle you like a redheaded stepchild, Penny!
Hey if she doesn’t like her current family, she can always come live with me. Actually, I want to grab the whole basket and run, they are beyond adorable!! And so fluffy!!!!
Kitten perfection, aren’t they?
One of these things is not like the others!
In the next episode, Penny discovers that her real father is in fact – Blake! It’s a scandal so shockingly unexpected not even Belinda smelt it coming. Meanwhile, Reynaldo’s trial and subsequent conviction for arson rivets the attention of the townsfolk…until it is revealed that the entire current season of the beloved soap was hallucinated by librarian Muriel Cadwallader, knocked unconscious by the collected works of Barbara Cartland during a tornado. As a result of protests by outraged viewers at least three of the soap’s writers are believed to be in protective custody.
snort-laff‘
How ya doin’, Alice Shortcake?
That was one hell of a roller-coaster ride. 😲
Not sure if having a season hallucinated after being knocked unconscious is better than waking up to Bobby in the shower and finding it was all just a dream.
I stopped visiting this site so as to stop upsetting myself when finding posts I think are irresponsible or worse. I also don’t want to bother, annoy, or upset any of you with my comments when I do find those posts. I believe Mike and the regular visitors here are truly good people; and I am aware this a warm and fuzzy place for you. But it seems every time I leave for a while and decide to return for all the goodness, I’m again disappointed. I waited a longer time this time, and then I return today to find a basket full of cats from a breeder. I cannot see animals that are clearly the product of breeding without feeling immediate heartache for all the many sweet, sad animals who will die alone, never having had a loving home, either on the streets or in a shelter. So let me ask Mike and the regulars — if any of you are willing to answer — do you support breeders or breeding? Are you okay with breeding? If so, I will leave and not bother you again. I promise.
snerk😂
I posted a comment twice. Once was replying to one of you, rather than just replying to the original post. I didn’t mean to do that, so I tried to delete it and post it the right way. But for some reason it was the second time I posted the comment, the one that was in the correct place, that was deleted. So be it. I don’t need anybody to respond, regardless. After I posted it, I went back and watched the caterpillar post and was upset by that one, too. Watching sentient beings just trying to eat, only to be exploded into the air; and breeding of any animals, which contributes to extraordinary suffering…. well, these things don’t fit my idea of cute. This time I am leaving and deleting this bookmark. I wish all of you well. And I thank you for the kindness you’ve offered me before. I hope you’ll keep loving all the animals and each other. Peace out.
I don’t know if you’ll see this or not but I think it’s good to get a response out nonetheless. I don’t think breeding is a black and white issue. I know there are bad breeders out there but I also know there are breeders that care for their animals like family. While in my country (America), there are a lot of strays in need of homes, in other countries their stray populations are low and breeders are responsible and people that adopt from them know the pets they are getting are healthy. Whereas it’s an unlucky lottery adopting from a shelter when it comes to pet health. I don’t look at a picture and just assume I know the situation behind it. I can’t judge if the circumstances are good or bad from a single snapshot in time.
As for something like the caterpillar situation, those little guys may get a shock or surprise when they are nibbling on their seeds but they are adapted to deal with those situations. Physics aren’t the same when it comes to small creatures and they can get tossed around with no harm. I don’t think they would have evolved to eat those seeds if they weren’t equipped to deal the explosions. Human intervention and the destruction of their habitat are what are sad about their circumstances.
I know that Mike cares about animals and everyone that comes to this site cares. We come here to get a smile and a laugh to help us through our day. Pictures and situations that put animals in danger or harm their overall welfare aren’t welcome here but we also don’t want to pick apart and judge every single image and video looking for the bad and trying to be judge and jury over every circumstantial situation. The world is large, diverse and grey. All of us are just doing the best we can.
Well, mostly grey. Sometimes there’s some unexpected orange…which can be delightful.
I know I’m late to this party, but I just wanted to let you know, Jendeyan, that you captured my thoughts exactly (but much more eloquently than I could have). Thank you.
And now I see that I replied to the wrong entry, but I intended to give a thumbs-up to this one, too! 🙂
