Cutetropolis is brought to you today by Farmer Prufrock’s Sentient Peaches™. Combining cutting-edge genetic engineering with down-home country know-how, we’ve bred a peach so fresh it’ll fly off the tree and straight onto your plate. Delicious with toast and tea!
Perfect match, Andrew Y.
Wow. So pretty 🙂
Apparently this is a Rosy Bourke parakeet, according to one of the comments on reddit.
Also, in looking at that, I came to this:
Oh for pete’s sake. The ears aren’t even working yet.
Looks like it’s looking for a nipple
I don’t care for peaches and I refuse to eat food that looks at you from the plate, so no. I wouldn’t eat this one. Might keep it to look at tho. Pretty birb!
Pretty boid but is it an optical illusion, it’s face? The eyes don’t look alike and where’s the beak? Or am I just not seeing things correctly?
The “little eye” is actually the left nostril on the beak. We can only see the left eye, too. I had to enlarge the picture to figure it out. It’s an odd angle, but little birbie is just peachy!
Here’s the beak –
Someone else said that hole is a nostril XD so only one eye is showing in the picture
Got it, thanks Ricky and Andrew. Shows what I know about some boid’s faces, at different angles. And it does appear to need a toenail trim.
You got me wondering, Andrew: what else would you call the two breathing holes in a beak? Blow-holes? I looked it up, and the technical term is nares, but that’s another name for nostrils, isn’t it?
How about snorkels? 🙃
I couldn’t see things correctly either!
Thanks to R&B’s Mom and Andrew for their helpful answers.
Leetle bit of an over bite.. er beak.
Reminds me of that singing duo, Peaches and Birb. Reunited, and it feels so good …
LOL!
Somebody needs a toenail trim.
Looks so soft, otherwise.
Squee!!!!!! So adorable and matches perfectly with the other peaches.
Enjoyed the T.S. Eliot reference – your narratives lately have been quite poetic!
