Last week, reader Andrea shared some pawsome photos of Great Pyrenees puppies just a few days old. Now the puppies’ eyes are opening, and Andrea is back with more photos and a soapy story:
All the babies have now opened their eyes and are starting to learn to walk. (some pics are pre-eye opening and walking some are post).
This means that they’re now able to get into trouble and that Maia (their mother) is getting overwhelmed by puppies.
We had been having them have their den in the TV room. However their newfound mobility means we need to move them before they get into more trouble. Already we had a minor incident in which Maia had set down the puppies on the table next to a bottle of hand soap.
The baby knocked over the soap and doused herself and one of her brothers in soap and Maia tried to lick them clean. They ended up getting a bath and the soap was moved elsewhere.
We’re looking for a better place for them with less trouble to get into. I expect the chaos to only intensify but at least it will be cute chaos!
D’aawwwwwwwwww…
(PS, is it just me or was the site not working earlier today? I couldn’t read any of the posts until after I got home, but we’re still having issues at work so it might have been that.)
I haven’t noticed any problems, but thanks for telling me. I’ll keep an eye out.
It’s only happened at work, for what it’s worth. I got all caught up once I got home.
More pupdates, plz. I adore these little ones.
Ditto! It’s so fun to watch them grow in almost real time. Keep ‘em coming, Andrea!
Exactly what I stopped by to wish for. 🙂 Such gorgeous puppers.
Same! Keep those pupdates coming, please. ^__^
Missed opportunity to call this a “soap opera”
Hahahaha!
Andrea, thank you for the pup-dates!!
