A black cat named Bubo…like the kind you get from the plague? As in the Black Death?

    Seems fitting.

That one looks like a caterpillar with great big eyes. I squealed out loud!

When you stare into the void and the void stares back.

I kinda really want a void kitty.

The happy geese video is not news to me. A video of a goose being reunited with a human it had known and apparently loved tipped me over into vegetarianism. Geese, who I had never considered deep thinkers, apparently have feelings, memories, lives.

If you’ve never read The Once and Future King, by T.H. White, it’s not just a retelling of King Arthur. It’s also filled with White’s observations about all sorts of birds. He includes wonderful snippets about geese and in fact turns Arthur into a wild goose for one lesson.

My favorite picture ever in my psychology textbook from college: Konrad Lorenz walking up a hill with a line of goslings behind him. He was the guy who discovered that domestic geese will imprint on the first face (human or birb) that they see after hatching.

I read it and loved it 55 years ago. I remember when I read it I loved it so much. Unfortunately I remember very little of what was in it. Maybe I should reread.

The happy geese are wonderful! Or terrifying, if you’re not expecting such a greeting.

That woman is lucky that her dog was not injured more, that fight was scary! Both animals could have been badly hurt.

Also the person who installed that chandelier did such a very good job, that thing could have easily crashed to the floor with the weigh of the raccoon hanging from it.

Did not know dogs on mushrooms was a thing! Although my eyes spy a cheater at #14. A really cute cheater though😘…

I so desperately need all the cute I can get today.
Diagnosed with pneumonia yesterday and being sent for angiogram to look for blood clots in lungs.
Want to be swamped by floofies.

I hope you get a good report, Duckie. Get well soon!

    • Luv Bunny December 18, 2020 / 7:28 pm

Sorry to hear you’re sick. I hope you don’t have any blood clots and that antibiotics will clear up the pneumonia. Not fun to be sick, especially around Christmas time.

Aw Ducky, sending lots of warm fuzzies!
