Lettuce Prey

Darling doxies eat their veggies

Like all dogs, dachshunds Loulou and Coco are devoted carnivores, but will they welcome a little romaine in their domain? Will they care at all for a carrot? Let’s find out! (via Murray C.)

    What sweethearts. Those eyes!
    I once saw a T-shirt that said “Lettuce…the taste of sadness”. 🤣

Aww – memories! I grew up with a wire-haird dachsie who ate lettuce. Actually she ate everything that fell on the floor. We called her our vacuum cleaner. There also would never have been any polite bites from the carrots. There would have been a “yoink!” and no more carrot. Her favorite were avocados, after she porked out on what was on the ground, she’d bury them and then sit on top of her bounty and growl at anyone who might come close.

Somebody call the SPCA, those poor dogs has been starved! That is the only reason I can see for eating dry lettuce, ewwww!

But seriously, what sweethearts, I especially love little Coco waiting patiently in the back but ready to make her move and escaping to the floor with her prize.

I had salad for lunch…no adorable pups to share it with, though. 🙁

They’re eating salad now but let’s see if they’re still eating healthy come February or the Superbowl.

These two are adorable! Most of the dogs I know love carrots and other veggies. That cronching! And very brave women to have all that white furnishings with dark colored dogs.
