We have some good news this Bunday! Fergus, beloved rabbit of longtime Cutetropolitan Murray C. was having serious health problems, as reported in a recent open thread. But after some visits to the vet and lots of loving care, Fergus is back to his old self.

The picture of Fergus in his sunbeam is beautiful and heartwarming. Murray C,you must be so relieved and happy.
So good to hear that Fergus is back to old self and so handsome too. Being a sunbeam shows off his glorious set of whiskers.
Thankfully, the household was able to sleep soundly last night after the excitement of Sat morning. We replaced the battery in the suspected smoke detector and we were still hearing chirps. After literally searching high and low, it ended up the culprit was the CO2 alarm. Never thought of it because it plugs into the wall but it actually has a battery backup. Ahhh the blissful sounds of silence.
Yey, Fergus is feeling better. When Murray isn’t looking, 🤫🤫 I’m going to bunnynap Fergus and snuggle with him. He’s adorable enjoying the warm sun beam and sure has a long set of whiskers. Seeing him makes me miss my two buns, even more.
I am so, so happy for you, Murray! And equally happy for Fergus. Long may he enjoy his sunbeams. So nice to wake up to good news.
Yay Fergus!
No sunbeams here…we’re under another winter storm warning. Just rain right now but they’re saying snow this afternoon. But I’ll be watching the Puppy Bowl so whatever.
Update: it’s only 10am but the snow has started early (weather.com had snow starting at noon when I looked before).
I hope you don’t get too much snow and lose power for the Big Game!!
It’s not windy, at least. Snow’s supposed to stop around 4. Says 2-4 inches (which I believe has been adjusted down since I checked yesterday). Hopefully they don’t expect us to clean our cars before the game is over.
Well it is so sunny here! Too bad it is -40. Or as you Americans say, -40! That’s the temp when both C and F are the same lol!
So if the power goes out here, neither the Big Game or the Cuter Big Game will be on our minds!! 🥶
When I last checked, NYC is expecting up to eight inches of snow. Less than half the recent snowfall, but since the old snow hasn’t been completely cleared, I expect it will cause some further inconvenience in mail and package delivery—which includes groceries and medications, so a bit worrisome. Personally I just need to make sure I have milk for my tea. And I’m looking forward to the Puppy Bowl!
-40 Celsius? Omg
No, it wasn’t me who has just whined to a friend about the upcoming week of -13 C 🙂
Ha ha no worries! Its all relative.
And weve had an unusually mild winter and I think this cold week will take us out of the real deep freeze range and onto pre-spring temps.
Dulcie, where do you live?
Middle of the Canadian prairies. Hot summers. Cold winters. Beeayootiful skies.
Very happy for Fergus and Murray!!
Fergus looks so soft!
Fergus sunbeaming his whiskers 🌞. Perfect for a Bunday morning!
So glad Fergus is back to his old self! That sunshine really does hi-light his whiskers—never think of them being that long! 💋to you!
Thanks for all your lovely comments, it means so much to me. And thank you, Mike, for posting my little fella on Bunday.
We’re having snow here in the Philly area since about 7 this am – big wet flakes. Now it’s starting to stick a bit but I’m more concerned about icing over tonight when really frigid weather is predicted. Gotta get out that salt shaker!
Enjoy the Puppy and Kitty Bowls, everyone! And the Super Bowl, if you’re so inclined.
Murray, Ferguson is so handsome. And he’s lucky to have you loving him.
Getting ready for arctic outflow. Ima hurting already.
Yay, Fergus! So glad he’s feeling better! What a beautiful bun-bun!
I, too, am feeling better, two days post-second COVID shot. Arm is still a bit sore, but the fever, chills, fuzzy headedness, etc. are gone. One of our nurses got her shot on a Friday and still had to call out sick on Monday, so at least my side effects didn’t last THAT long!
Huzzah for Fergus! And COVID vaccinations recovery! Hope everybody in the snow zone can stay safe, warm, and well-supplied until the snow clears.
Let me know who wins the Puppy and Kitten bowls. I don’t care about the superb owl.
Early in the third quarter it’s Team Ruff 38 and Team Fluff 35…
edit: Fluff just scored making it 42-38.
Final score:
Team Fluff – 69
Team Ruff – 73
MVP was Marshall the deaf Boston Terrier 🙂
Underdog Award winner was Erica, the Border Collie, who spent most of the game curled up in the corner.
Not too many small breeds on the field this year…there were a few Chihuahua mixes, the Boston Terrier, a Shih-Tzu/Beagle…but mostly they seemed to be larger breed mixes.
Also the cheerleaders were all puppies, too. No bunnies or chickens or what have you like usual.
Oh Fergus, you handsome boy, you! Your whiskers especially!
Murray, so glad he is doing better!
I want to very carefully pet that soft soft fur.
The snow has stopped in Philly, so I’m headed out to clear the slush.
I just salted – it’s not bad at all just outside of Philly. I hope you have an easy time of it.
No need to pet Fergus carefully. He loves a good firm scritch on his butt and around his ribs. When you do he starts licking whatever is available to lick – including my hand! Nice warm bunny tongue – pretty darned cute!
I’m about to go out and clear off my car but we didn’t get too much and it looks pretty slushy.
I was so disappointed when the Puppy Bowl didn’t immediately repeat ! Usually it would go on all day evening. I didn’t pay attention as much as I might’ve liked because I had a couple of events online.
Does anyone know what happened to Gus, the poor little pup that wouldn’t participate? He was on early in the proceedings and he just sat on the sidelines, shaking. The ref picked him up and comforted him.
I changed channels from Puppy Bowl to BBC America and landed on Monty Python and the Holy Grail, just at the point when they encounter the Killer Rabbit. Hmmmmmmm. On Pinterest I’ve seen a lot of Medieval manuscript marginalia and there are rabbits doing all sorts of ghastly things, so I guess this scene wasn’t such a stretch!
It repeats at 6pm and 9pm (eastern time).
Thank you!!!!!
Gus never really got in the game. But I’m sure he was well looked after.
Really, if Dan Schachner isn’t a Man of Cutetropolis, who is?
This is a little over seven minutes long, and totally worth it, IMO.
So happy for Fergus. Love those perky whiskers!
❤️
Evening Murray C. & Fergus! I am so happy you are both doing well. 🙂
That is, indeed, good news. Give Fergus a cuddle for me!
Again, thanks for all of your concern and good wishes for Fergus (Kennel name, “Mr. Fergus ‘Spatz’ MacFurry”😜) He has been well and truly cuddled in your names. It’s been very gratifying to have an animal come through a difficult time and be whole and well on the other end of it all. Most times that is not the case, as you probably know all too well. Bless you, you’re a great bunch.
