I use triangles (the plastic kind) all the time in my illustration work so that’s one of the things I actually do know! So often here I’m scratching my head over some popular culture reference of which I am stone cold and irrevocably ignorant!😜
At least I remember what a right angle is. But “right triangle” threw me. It’s been a long time since I had any use for naming different types of triangle. I can’t think of a time after 10th grade (math class was geometry that year) when it would have done me any good.
It’s kinda funny. The annoying math I was sure I’d never need has in fact never come up in my career. But for my hobby projects I use trig and linear algebra all the time, and even calculus on occasion. Half the time the result is basically reinventing the square wheel, but it’s still way more mileage than I expected.
Anyway, I think kitty has confused the War of 1812 with the Finno-Korean Hyperwar.
