An actual panther as a house panther. I always wonder how wild animals who are rescued are treated when they become sexually mature. I guess the panther is “fixed,” but that seems gruesome somehow.
It’s pretty common even for zoo animals when for whatever reason they’re not wanted as part of the breeding population, eg having a gene for a serious condition they don’t want passed on, or being too closely related to all the others. Ultimately, it’s better for them, both in terms of not having sexually frustrated panthers, and reducing the chances of loads of medical conditions.

Doggy haircuts, what transformations! Love how some people had to double check – are you really sure that’s my dog???? The Archbishop has the calmest voice and demeanor, even with kitty stealing his breakfast. Dog walker is just incredible, I couldn’t even get one dog to walk properly let alone try with how ever many he has PLUS he remembers all their names!! I’m in love with Truffles and her campaign to help kids with glasses. Wish they had her around when I needed glasses at age 4 and never thought I was cool, heard way too many times “Hey 4-eyes!”. Dog owner in video needs a warning – INCOMING!!!
Luna and her buddy are kinda cute but I feel bad that she’s been “domesticated”. Not to nuff but does Russia even have wildlife sanctuaries or rescues like in Europe or US? I don’t know but I guess if the choice is between being in a traveling zoo/circus or being with someone who supposedly has some experience, I guess that’s the best option for her. Fingers crossed she doesn’t turn against the family as she gets older.
And the luck of the Irish was with me last night. Doing my happy dance as I go for my first Covid vaccine jab today. Took a wild chance by going on one of the pharmacy websites last night around 6 and they had all these appts open for today. Finally I can see a light at the end of the tunnel, just hoping it’s not a train ready to run me over.
Congrats on the appointment! And “[t]he light at the end of the tunnel is the headlight of an oncoming train” is my favorite saying.
Love the dogs transformations especially the abandoned poodle that showed up on someones porch and the maltese rescued from the puppy mill.
Pet panther is cute and I’m happy the lady stepped in and saved her life but I can’t be totally OK with the situation because unfortunately I’ve seen too many stories about people having wild animals as pets that didn’t end well.
