Follow-up on today’s lead story: Dog and unicorn both got adopted. (Thanks, Allein!)
Sisu and his purple unicorn made my weekend. Someone shared the animal shelter’s post on Facebook, then later I was looking at WeRateDogs on Instagram and there he was again! I saw a comment on the facebook post saying that the store was going to send him some spare unicorns, so I was glad to see that confirmed in the People article.
“Sisu” means something akin to “determination” in Finnish (doesn’t have a direct translation in English). Sounds about right.
If it weren’t for the ears I would have thought Khy was a bunny..
I heard about the dog stopping traffic the other day but I hadn’t seen it. Good girl!
Saw the Sisu story but didn’t do more than skim it. Now I’m glad I went back–those photos are lethally cute!
Also hinting cat is not subtle. But hilarious.
I’m not surprised Sisu and his unicorn got adopted right away.
What I find incredible is that Clover the dog isn’t trained as a service dog at all and yet she knew exactly what to do. If she had run home to get help it would have been understandable, the dog would have known it could get help there but stepping in front of a moving car is not a learned behaviour or instinctual for a dog and that’s what I find amazing.
Sweet Khy! I love his broad nose and his loving personality.
