The Magpie Whisperer is really a Disney Princess. I want to live somewhere beautiful with a flock of gorgeous, intelligent, playful magpies.
I’m with Isla.
Also this guy…
Kangaroo remake of Swing Kids? I’d watch that.
Swing-dancing kangas will have me laughing all day. All the comedy photos are terrific.
Poor kitten in the car wash! I’m glad he got rescued.
Love tamanduas, and Isla is especially pretty.
Saving everything else!
Isla has the sweetest face, if she wants to sleep in I’m not going to stop her. Wildlife photos had me cracking up. I want that doggy’s house! Nicer than some apartments I’ve lived in.
We need more tamanduas. They’re so cute.
The dog “house” is totally cray cray!! I love it!!
“If you give a mouse…” Years ago a children’s librarian got me to wear a “Cookie Mouse” costume for an event. Lots of hugs from cute toddlers. It would have been great except it turns out I’m REALLY claustrophobic and was ready to run screaming by the time it was over. No one will ever get me into a character head again!!!
When I worked at the bookstore one of the part-time guys did the Cookie Mouse costume for a storytime and led the kids on a parade around the store. I think he had more fun than they did.
(He was a total goofball at work; you wouldn’t think he had a serious day job (respiratory therapist at the hospital). I think he took the job in part just to be able to blow off some steam while making a little extra cash.)
I REALLY misread a caption. I thought it was “Isla the TARANTULA” and was expecting a much less cute video (but much more surprising — I’ve not heard of arthropods not being morning people, so to speak).
Magpies are cute and all but they also can be vicious, every year in Australia they attack people they “think” are too close to their nest, so I’m not sure her neighbours are totally happy with the lady attracting a lot of them.
I also misread the caption and thought it said “tarantula” so I was going to skip the video. But then I took another look and read tamandua, didn’t know what that was so I played the video and I’m very glad I did!
