“It’s great to be here, ladies and gentlemen! On my way to the royal court, I met a guy who said he hadn’t had a bite in three days — so I directed him to our local food pantry, just one of many community resources dedicated to reducing instances of food insecurity in the tri-kingdom area.”

OMG Mike…yes I burst out laughing! 🤣😸🤣😸
I cannot believe how the colors are split perfectly down his head! And the different eye colors! How does this happen? I wonder if the color split continues down his back?
I did a google image search for “chimera cat” and there were lots of pictures of just the faces but not many good shots of the bodies. The ones that did show a decent view of the rest of the kitty seem to all have multicolored fur patterns, but not the stark split down the middle like the heads do.
Thanks for chevking!👍🏼 It’s just so…weird!
Truly a strikingly gorgeous kitty.
A feline Stańczyk.
I looked up Stanczyk and saw a painting of a sad?/serious? jester. Is this a famous figure/painting? I would love to live with a cat who looked like that and had a serious social conscience like that.
Ha! That’s a painting by Jan Matejko (19th century). A bitter history lesson for Poles. Long story short: it’s 16th century, the times when the Commonwealth of Poland and Lithuania is in its prime; the jester is in such a grim mood beacuse Poland has just lost Smolensk to Russia, but nobody seems to notice – there’s a ball at the royal palace, and all decision makers entertain themselves instead of planning how to repair the country. When Matejko painted “Stańczyk” there was no Poland (or Lithuania for that matter) on political maps of Europe, and to significant extent it was our own fault… Every child in Poland knows this picture; not that we care so much about its message, just look at whom we elected a couple years ago…
Thanks. That’s interesting. There’s definitely food insecurity in the tri-kingdom area here, which is not being taken seriously enough, and look who we elected here some years ago.
Wow! My knowledge of Polish history is pathetic–thanks for the cool lesson.
How striking!! And my eyes are definitely playing tricks on me because at first glance I thought it said Seriously Inappropriate Court Jester. I don’t even want to think about how the scroll down could have gone with a headline like that.
Oh, I don’t know. Could have been an all-time winner!
A strikingly beautiful cat and a history lesson about art, Poland and Lithuania all in one. This is definitely a great site!
And humor! The joke?
Socially conscious cats are the best cats.
The very old joke is something like “he hadn’t had a bite in days so I bit him”…
Is that Phineas and Ferb reference I see hiding in there?
