Today is Wombat Wednesday, and today we’re going to meet Tabmow, a southern hairy-nosed wombat joey whose name, if you haven’t already guessed, is “wombat” spelled backwards.
Tabmow lives at Pumpkins Patch Kangaroo Sanctuary in South Australia. Since local laws forbid releasing wombats back to the wild, this will be his home for life, and his caretaker will have to give him everything his mum would, including a soothing oil massage.
After that, it’s time to hop in the makeshift pouch and go outside for a few minutes of sunshine.
OMGosh!😳
😘 Kisses to little Tabmow!😘 What an adorably cute wombat babe! I am clearly in the wrong profession, on the wrong continent. I would so much like to be a nanny to wombats!
I love the little wombat yawns in the sunshine ☀️ I’m just catching up on today’s posts I’ve been resting after an evening of celebrating my birthday yesterday. After the last 18 months I’m just not used to going out anymore.
Belated happy birthday! Hope the celebration was great fun.
Happy Birthday!
Sounds like you need practice partying like it’s your birthday.
Happy Belated Birthday!
Happy birthday! Keep having them!
Happy birthday, Georgiana! Sounds like you had a good time!
Watching that little guy getting oiled up and snuggling in his pouch makes me feel cozy, too. I hope we get to see more of him as he grows. Big surprise, the kangaroo on the couch!!!
LOVED the kangaroo on the couch. Clearly very comfortable there, all lemme alone I’m sleepin’.

I am ded!
Not only does Tabmow have long eyebrow hairs, but getting his massage created the most adorable wrinkles, especially over those eyebrows. And was he wearing a diaper?
He is just too cute! And so is the kanga. And did I see a dog on another couch?
Little Tabmow found good hoomins.
