I don’t know why but the passing of Statler hit me hard this morning, I can’t stop crying.

Bat, puppy following people home, and cat awards made it very dusty in here today. I’m just happy that Statler had a magnificent retirement and was loved and adored in his last years. Not a cat images may have been AI generated but they look like a few cats I’ve known, just uncanny that a program can do that.

Being at Bat World was the best thing ever for Statler. 😊 Watching the video again made me sad, but happy for the life he had these last years. I am sooo glad his last years were full of love and kindness and friends!

Cats created by the algorithmic method. Hmmmm.
Have to share some good news about the ferals next door! Last evening, I hung around after dropping off their dinner (have to use a grab-it to reach over the fence, so it’s a literal drop off). Two of the adults let me stand there, closer than ever before–maybe 5 feet. Then the boldest black kitten came out! He was nervous about me, but still came over to eat!
The chirruping noises I make seem to fascinate adults and kittens alike: I spent about 10 minutes over the weekend coaxing them closer while I waved a cat wand. Slowly, we’re building a relationship.

Yay, awesome news!
I guess I would need a chirruping language course!
Just cluck with your tongue, a sort of Tch tch sound.

The worried face on the abandoned puppy is irresistible and luckily was not resisted! The hero cat stories were lovely. I found Statler’s story deeply moving when we first saw it and watching the video again. I’m SO glad he found safety, companionship and joy in his last years. The idea of carrying him around the sanctuary so he could move his wings and feel like he was flying is genius level kindness.

Such a gentle, trusting little creature. He got to flap about and gobble fruit to more than twice his kind’s normal wild lifespan. Blessed.

The illustrations are so sweet…love the quokka (#5).
I saw Maximus and his siblings the other day with a caption along the lines of “He won’t stop growing and the others don’t know what to do.”
RIP Statler 🙁
Okay that illustrator is 🎶awe-some🎶!! I esp loved the beagle heart. Dedthunk😵
