As the mid-morning sun sends shafts of light through the clouds, and a cool ocean breeze sends a refreshing spray across his face, he contemplates this strange place so far away from his kingdom. There are no gazelle, no water buffalo, only the ungainly two-legged creatures who consume endless bags of potato chips and smear themselves with goo. They do not look appetizing.

I’m surprised that head piece stayed on long enough to get a photo…
I never see anything this cute at the beach… 🙁
The circle of tides?
Very cute, by the way.
I love the faraway look as kitteh gazes across the vast expanse of, well… regal-looking anyway.
Off topic.
Home from cataract surgery. Eye still hugely dilated, but I can see a difference already.
Terrific news! Things will only get better for your vision from here on out.
Love hearing good news!!! Thinking good thoughts that healing goes as quickly as the surgery.
Glad it went well. I’ve had both of my eyes done and had a noticeable improvement. I always thought my inside shutter type blinds were cream colored, they’re white.
From reading the comments over the weekend, many of you peeps are experiencing your own health, a family member’s or precious pet’s – health issues or other stressing issues. I do pray and hope for the best, for all of you. We need as much good health and serenity in our own lives, to be able to handle what’s happening outside our doors.
The Lion King may have better luck at a sporting event than the beach. Probably better goodies.
That’s wonderful! Hope that you’re recovery’s fairly quick and painless
That’s geeat, Duckie! Everyone I know who’s had the surgery says it makes a huge difference!
My mom had that done a little while back. They fixed her vision while they were at it, from legally blind without her glasses to not needing them at all. It was unexpectedly surreal, like she was suddenly wandering around without a body part.
Anyway it was definitely a revelation for her once everything healed up. Like a kid getting their first glasses and saying “wait, other people can see trees’ individual leaves?!”
That mane has very California beach bum look to it, I’m almost expecting Moondoggie and Gidget to make an appearance any minute.
Hip hip hooray Duckie! 👀
