Matilda is perfect for cats… “Sometimes you have to be a little bit naughty.”
Now I need an all-cat version of the musical…

Library cat is a saint. Can’t wait to read the links today! Only had time for the nonchalant otter, who is so cute.

Thanks, Dulcie. I’ll survive. Just wish the world didn’t seem so crazy these days . . .

I love the “my house, not my cat” stories and to answer the question some of those people asked. Yes, that is how you get cat, I’ve been fortunate to have this experience myself.
I did this exact costume for Halloween years ago, the cat looks cuter in it than I did tho.

Did you do the real dress, or did you do the curtain-rod style popularized by Carol Burnett?
GeorgianaAugust 16, 2021 / 12:18 pm
The Carol Burnet curtain-rod with green velvet drape and gold trim. I had a frilly blouse and a big puffy long skirt underneath, it was not very comfortable.
My college does a “Thank God It’s Spring” weekend every year (there’s a big barbecue and all kinds of activities – Battle of the Airbands, Jell-O slide in the field with the hill between two of the dorms, human foosball…); there’s always a t-shirt and one year they did a 60s theme and had a tie-dye station to dye our shirts. (I think that was the year they spelled “Annnual” on the shirts with three Ns.) I did blue and green; I think I still have it somewhere. It was fun seeing all the different colored shirts hanging to dry all over the dorm hallways.

Library kitty looks a bit like my Maszat, except that Maszat has totally white face with orange fringe and ears!
Unfortunately Maszat is still terribly afraid. We take baby steps every day. Now she comes when called and sits down next to me, but no pet-pet has been allowed. She loves sitting around a bit with me every evening. I hope one day I will be able to pat her and would also love to hear her purr. But all in all we have had quite nice progress, she and Mitsi appeared roughly a month ago. Mitsi is an energetic sweetheart purring all the time.
Love all the good dogs today.
And the sneaky otter.

How are things today Duckie?
I love how kitteh allows otter to swipe food.
Folks, if you’re interested in our tie-dyeing party last week, you can see it and read about it here:

Things are going really well I think.
They sound so lovely. Have you tried play therapy with Maszat? She might respond to a wand.
Such cute posts today. Love how nonchalant the otter is and how “oblivious” the cat is. Kinda like yeah, yeah, I see it, does it all the time.
