The wily Maru is too clever for most traps, but there’s one that gets him every time.
The trick to this trap is to make the opening just uncomfortable enough so that the Maru becomes engrossed in widening it.

One of the Youtube comments mentioned Maru probably “fixed” the hole in that box because it was too high, and he couldn’t melt into it comfortably XD I agree, I think that’s why too

This was great. I’ve never seen a cat do something like Maru did – he altered an object to suit him. Cats move things but I’ve never seen one alter an object to suit. I think Hana would have just walked away.
…but his tail is in a good mood. 😄
“Cat’s cuteness doubles in the dark.” I assume this was a proper scientific study and I will accept these results.
