Zeus is a dachshund who loves to leap into the pool, and it’s even more fun with friends to splash around with. So he invited over a bunch of his puppy pals, along with a loving lifeguard, for a pool party with swimming lessons for the newbies and plenty of toys to fetch. (via Murray C.)

I’ve seen hot dogs 🌭 at pool parties, but never one that swims…
We had a miniature schnauzer when I was a kid and sometimes we’d bring her in the pool. She’d paddle furiously across the pool and slowly sink as she went. (An adult always had a hand under her and it was an above-ground pool so there was no way she could get into it by accident. But it was funny to watch and she didn’t seem to mind being in the water (unless it was the bathtub).)
This is my idea of heaven. Had to send to on of my co-workers as she has 2 mini doxies. Plus a pool. Her two go in the pool but I don’t think she’s ever had a play date party like this.
And it’s snowing!!!! Yipee! This is as close as I get to snow these days so I’m all excited. All the benefits and none of the downsides like shoveling.

Long long ago, and far away from Philly, I used to teach 3-year-old (humans) swimming lessons. Had about the same reaction as these fuzz balls – some loved it, some didn’t, some were gutter monkeys and some were velcro – to me. Sweet darlings all of them.
