Maru’s Stamp of Approval

Maru, Hana, and Kitten Miri are getting their pawprints taken today. This will be a great help to their human if they are lost, and to the local authorities if they rob any pet stores. But before the printing, they need their paw floof trimmed back.

With that chore out of the way, it’s time for the cats to meet the latest addition to their home: an enormous full-body bean-bag pillow!

Well, that was momentarily interesting, but now it’s time for the cats to relax, and for Hana to remind Maru that he’s her favorite full-body pillow.

Hana as a Kitten!

In this new video, we get to see how small Hana was, and how puffy Maru wasn’t.

Tiny Hana! I like seeing them sleeping together. My kitties didn’t do that, especially after they were babies.

Wish I could be that relaxed.

I want to buy those prints…
Maru relaxing on that chair is so funny XD

I would also buy those prints. I love the background paper she put their artwork on.
What exactly is that ginormous bean bag thing? It’s too big to be a body pillow.
Maru chillaxing on that chair is too adorable.
And, kitten Hana snuggled up against Maru’s fluffy butt is so endearing. 😻

It’s a Yogibo bean bag. They have all kinds of stuff. They have a store in the mall near me and I’ve always been mildly intrigued when I walk by. They look comfy.

This might be infringing on their feline rights no? 😁

Kitten Hana cuddling up against Maru is SO adorable. I think Maru was afraid the Yogibo would get mad at him for walking on it.

I wandered the mall after my eye appointment (800 dollars later…..progressives are expensive, yo*) and passed the Yogibo store. Was tempted to test one out but I didn’t.

Was looking for a tea kettle…all I saw was a set at Macy’s that came with mugs which I don’t need. Sadly the kitchen store that used to be there is gone. Saw a pretty one on their website but it’s really bigger than I need.

If you already own a pair of frames that you like, you can just measure them and order much cheaper glasses online at places like Zenni Optical. The frames are described in great detail, and you can even upload your picture to see how they would look on you.

For around $150 total you can get a pretty decent set of glasses (even progressive lenses or really advanced prescriptions) that’s comparable to brick and mortar stores.

Found out about them over a decade ago and haven’t looked at brick and mortar stores since or paid more than $100 for my glasses. It takes about a couple of weeks for regular delivery (esp. now with Covid delays), but well worth the wait, in my opinion.

Only downside is that you should check with your insurance if they cover online retailers.

A little late now but maybe I’ll look into it next time.

I actually got the same frames I already have (I didn’t see anything I liked better); was a little surprised they still had them. They give you a tray to put anything you try on into so they can sanitize them, and she actually put them back out while I was browsing. If they could do them while I wait I would just reuse the ones I have, since I could sit on a bench and read a book for an hour without them, but they don’t do the progressives there (last time they took a week). I did reuse my sunglass frames; I can do without them for a week.

I personally never liked the mall optical stores because the salesperson always felt the need to adjust/bend the made glasses when I hadn’t even tried them on, despite my protestations. It annoyed me to no end to have to adjust them again at home.

Zenni has really good Thanksgiving/Black Friday coupons so if you can wait until then to get something that may catch your eye but is too expensive for something you don’t trust.

They offer refunds only for glasses that are made incorrectly or arrive damaged. First time I ordered I specifically picked something with the understanding that if I hated them, I was okay to lose my money.

Craftsmanship was surprisingly good and they were made accurately, so no complaints at all. Didn’t have to adjust them at all.

From the package tracing I believe they were made in Pakistan and re-routed through a California warehouse to get around American economic sanctions. Now I think they’ve merged with a Chinese manufacturer, but quality is still okay in my opinion. Package tracing still shows as them coming from California.

My brain could have sworn the bonus video headline was “Hana has a kitten.” So many questions until I read it correctly.

In any case, she was/is very cute.
