Does competitive lounging come with prize money? I could get into that…

I hope the giraffe is a girl so they can name her Betty.

Question; Do their toebeans get pruny after all that time in the tub?

Cannot believe the cappys have competitive bathing contests! That is a natural for them and for the Japanese to have such unusual contests. I read the giraffe calf was a male so no being named Betty plus sad news, the zoo announced he became ill and passed yesterday. Keepers and med staff are keeping an eye on his mom and other members of the herd just to make sure there’s no one else sick.

Love the idea of using a drone with a dangling sausage to lure the dog to safety. Yeah to foster dad rallying the kitten, her and her sister are just gorgeous. Talk about phone home ET, glad other kitty is back home.

So sad about the baby giraffe. I love their wobblies.

      😢 poor baby

I believe the poor little tyke is with Betty now.

Maybe Betty really wanted her own giraffe to wander around heaven with. I like to think she’s up there leading a long parade of rescue animals and zoo animals that were helped because of her.

I was so excited at Allein’s suggestion to name it Betty! Then I read the other comments. ☹️ Didn’t know. ☹️

I have joked for years that if sitting on the couch were an Olympic event, I’d be a gold medalist. Obviously I need to reincarnate as a capybara in Japan. That contest is fantastically hilarious and the mock-serious tone of the post made it even better!

Drone sausages. What will they think of next? Also congrats to the smart team, and to little Millie.

Tapping cat has the most wonderful face.

DebG…I like the idea of drone dangling bacon.🥓🥓🥓 I mean it would work for me.

Missing cat and the tiny foster kittens are so smart! So are the people around them!

1h58 minutes in the bath is nothing, I could do it easily as long as I get to bring a book and snacks!

And someone to refresh the hot water every so often. Kinda like a cabana boy but instead of bringing drinks he brings pitchers of hot water.

I like the way you two think! Count me in!

Drone with sausages was very clever, so glad it worked!

I’ve seen the uber fluffy kitty demand snacks before, but it’s still funny. 😻

Little Sam is ridonkulously cute. (Is that how you spell ridonkulously?)

Capybaras are so serious about relaxing. The idea of crowds watching them while they compete in a soaking-in-hot-water contest is hilarious and proves how charismatic they are.

My power animals. Capybaras and sloths.

I misread the Search & Rescue name and thought it was the Demented Drone S & R group! Well, yeah, I guess they are a little demented for using cooked sausages as a lure!
