And finally: Kitten Power!

How much do those cat treadmills cost?
Love the original angry bird!
I found one for $100 and other ones for about $250.
They’ve come down in price! The last time I checked, which was years ago, they were about $500 IIRC.
Omg π Catquipment isn’t cheap!
Hey, NTMTOM: What’s up with the comment icons? I recognize my WordPress account image, but I kind of miss the wacky icons that used to show up.
I haven’t changed anything, but I’ll look to see if anything has been changed.
Squeaky kitten gets the wheel?
My first thought on seeing the bird..

Angry bird looks like he wants to see your manager – pronto! So happy Maggie is back home. And I wonder can old cats learn new tricks? Maybe I should get one for the 2 living here.
Hurrah for Maggie and Willow! Hope Maggie gets plump again, very soon. Love working dogs.
Kitten power is fantastic! Smart bengal parents, getting their kittens used to the wheel early.
Kitten power. Aww! π
“Squeaky kitten gets the wheel”…ππ€£πΈ
I noticed that there was a spare kitten in case the first one breaks down.
You should always have a backup generator.
This is the day when I’m getting very very afraid of Mike and his supernatural powers. Can he read all Cutetropolitans’ minds or just mine? π
Well, finest people of Cutetropolis, I’m that angry bird now!
2 of my previously respected co-workers absolutely misused my good will/stupidity today.
A guy I had really loved working with for many years asked for my help today. We never were friends, but worked together on many projects, had a lot of good memories together from these projects.
So I helped him, taught him how to do things at the ERP. Later on it turned out it was not him who had really needed this help, but another co-worker who had wanted to get me fired over a minor conflict a few years ago. (I think he would want his wife to get my job, but she is not qualified for it)
They knew I would never help the one who had wanted to get me fired for basically nothing, even if wifey needs a good job, so they had this clever little plan together and it worked.
I was stupid but I normally help people as long as they deserve it.
Well f. having been working from home for 2 years, I’m going to the office tomorrow and ask them how they feel about this awesome trick of today and whether it has the same fun value face to face as well or only at an e-mail correspondence?
(They were giggling like drunk teenagers at how stupid I was to help them in the e-mails and to some extent, unfortunately they were right)
Sorry, I may not be tame enough any more to be released back to work environment, but I want to look them in the eyes. I absolutely feel betrayed.
So “just let me at those pigs” (No offence to real pigs, they are intelligent animals)
Sorry you have to deal with these kind of people, they should be ashamed of themselves.
These two sound awful. And like nasty brats. I hope your confrontation goes the way you want. Thereβs a saying that revenge is a dish that tastes better cold but Iβve never been very good at plotting.
As for revenge, I admit I was thinking about submitting a change request to the IT dept, to make what I helped them with useless. But with that I would punish 9-10 absolutely innocent co-workers as well and they don’t deserve to take any collateral damage.
However, I will tell them off tomorrow, and tbh I am curious if they have the courage to face me (it often happens that workplace keyboard warriors get humble at a face to face) Most probably I won’t achieve anything, but such behaviour should simply not go unnoticed and should not be condoned in any way.
Today it is me who got treated like this, tomorrow it will be my super sensitive co-worker who would cry herself to sleep after such an incident if we don’t do anything, just let it pass.
Revenge is not really needed. Both IT people who spoke the same language as these guys unfortunately died in 2021. These guys cannot speak English/German, if they need help, they cannot really turn to anyone else than me. So they have already shot themselves in the feet metaphorically speaking.
Ems, make sure you do NOT confront them alone. Have at least one other person with you.
Yes, I will take one of our managers with me.
Thank goodness! I was starting to worry. We value you greatly here, Ems! We want you to be safe.
This is so nice of you. There is nothing to worry about, the worst case is a verbal conflict. There are also cameras everywhere.
So they actually told you that they wanted you to help the other person and were taunting you with how they tricked you? Or did they accidentally send emails to you? How did you find out?
What about telling them that if the jerk had had the decency to admit he was wrong for trying to get you fired and actually apologized, he could have asked for your help like a real adult would?
Hoping karma catches up with both of them.
I definitely understand being annoyed at people for tricking you or not acknowledging you. I have not been in your exact situation, but I have helped colleagues in the past only to have them turn around and take credit for my work. Although, I did get a bit of ‘revenge’ on one person who – while taking credit – got something wrong, so I publicly corrected her mistake. If you are going to ‘help’ our other colleagues, at least get the facts right!
The “nicer” guy asked for the help in the morning. I explained things and sent screenshots how to do them. He thanked me for the help and I even forgot about it. At this point I had no clue it wasn’t for him.
Late afternoon he forwarded (with me in CC) what I had sent in the morning to the one who had wanted to get me fired some years before, saying ” See how great I am? I would love to see her face when she realizes it was for you. LOL she isn’t very bright”
I work at an entirely different dept, I’m not supposed to help people with ERP issues, it was a favour to the guy I had worked on many projects with.
Wow!!! Talk about dang nerve and acting like high schoolers. Go get ’em tomorrow, this is so wrong on so many levels. And I thought there were idiots at my job, but these two take the cake.
That must be so frustrating on so many levels. Call them out while keeping yourself safe physically and mentally.
100 purrcent sustainable energy. Love it.
Ems, just let me know where you work, and I will send my angry bird after them! Urgh! Why are some people so β-!?
Duckie, I have imagined Lil’Duckie attacking this guy’s huge nose and I feel a lot better, thank you π
Budgiesaurus rex
Awesome π
EMS!! OMG!! Why oh why are people so thoroughly rotten?? Makes me angry π for sure, but mostly sad and filled with despair. π₯βΉοΈ
I’m not one for an eye for an eye, but I do believe in karma. π€
I wish I were the type to avoid conflicts, but I was just not cut like that, so they are getting a surprise visit tomorrow. I will tell them what I think of such spineless bastards. It won’t accomplish anything but I will feel better afterwards.
How about any kind of wrongful dismissal action???
Maybe I would need such a wheel for myself!
