Almost looks like the gorilla is holding the baby with the reflection. 🦍
I kept waiting for one of the patty-cats to go in for the takedown.
Yeah, that’s usually how these things end.
Love how their markings are so similar yet different colors.
Pluto’s owner has it right. Even the smallest pet can run your life.
I love how he dances under the sheet it’s almost like a ballet but that is one bossy little bird!
Patty cake cats had me waiting for the inevitable mutual smack-down. Wasn’t disppointed. Glad that Sterling has a BFF to help him out, and they’re so FLUFFFY!
Not sure if I could stand that much togetherness with Pluto, he’s adorable but wow does he have an opinon on everything.
Almost decided on rescuing a beautiful black standard poodle. Then I saw the adoption fee – almost $1200!!!!!! WTF???????? I understand it’s pure bred, I understand you rescued it from S. Korea (why? who knows), I understand there’s a lot of fees involved in bringing dog into the country, I understand you want to make sure it goes to a good situation. But holy crap, I could almost buy a pure-bred dog from a breeder in the States for that amount of cash. I hope baby ends up with a wonderful family but no way could I justify the fee.
Rescued from South Korea = rescued from the dog meat trade. South Korea has been contemplating banning dog meat consumption, which *should* be a good thing except that it would drive the trade underground, which would likely raise demand and consumption (see: Prohibition in the US).
I agree that it’s a very high fee for an adoption.
Prohibition actually cratered demand. The average American *still* doesn’t consume as much alcohol as they did before the 18th amendment. This isn’t an endorsement, just a fact.
Due to my almost complete inability to deal with technology I have been unable to somehow import an email I got into the comments, so I will just explain. This is really for NYC people.
Over the weekend people were talking about keeping objects that belonged to animals who are gone. This morning I got an email from a friend who owns a business on West 72nd St called A Paint Place advertising a Paint Your Pet event. It’s exactly the thing for memorializing a lost baby. I did this after I lost my two cats.
You send them a photograph of your baby or babies and they pre-sketch it for you.
You arrive at their place, in this case on March 13th. The session will be between 1 and 3. They help you with supplies and advice and you leave with, as I did, a wonderful painting by you of your baby that’s gone. I have the painting on my dresser across from the foot of my bed.

I think this is the website for that business: https://thepaintplaceny.com/
It is. Thank you! I didn’t think of that – slaps forehead.
Fantastic links! I’m crazy for Pluto and his sweet way of waking up mom. Do you think bird beaks hurt more than cat claws? (Sevi has been known to paw at my face to wake me up.)
