Peeps, totally off topic, but cute. I have set Duckie a challenge. I’ve been trying to get her to use a bathing pool, and today I meant to force the issue. I put her food and water on the bottom of the cage, alongside a bathing pool I bought. I attached a short bendy rope for her to walk down, in case the concept of flying eluded her tiny brain.
The bottom part on the cage side is clear plastic, and has no footholds for her. She couldn’t climb down the inside, but she came up with part of a solution. She climbed down the door panel, which put her on the same level as the food, but outside the cage. She tried to go through the plastic, but couldn’t. However, this means she figured out a way to get to the food level, and I’m impressed. If she manages to actually reach the food, I’ll be so proud.

She did. She sat in the doorway of her cage, looked sadly at me, and cheeped pitifully. I immediately held her food and water dishes up to her.
OMG, the birdie version of puppy dog eyes!!! I love it, she’s a gal that knows what she wants, how to get it, and will work it for all it’s worth.
I think Little Duckie and Bibi have been corresponding and comparing notes.
