Little Lala the wombat has just finished her bottle, so now it’s naptime. “Just like human babies, a gentle rocking motion helps calm them and sleep easy,” notes Lala’s caregiver. “It would be what they feel in the pouch as mum walks.” (via Murray C.)

I’m 73 today. I think it’s the perfect age to get a part-time job rocking baby wombats to sleep. Unlikely to be much of a call for that in NYC, unfortunately.
Happy birthday!
Happy day! Hope you’re enjoying it!
Best of wishes for bday without, unfortunately, sweet bebee wombats!
Happy Birthday!!!
Happy birthday!!!
Thank you everybody! I’m heading out now for a celebratory dinner. The first birthday I had where I felt upset that it meant I was old was 15!!!! Now there’s nothing else to do but get dressed up and celebrate!
I want to press a fingertip into each of those little feets. See if she grabs on like human babies do.
Happy birthday, DUBRAVKAMCVMD!
Thank you!
I want to tickle the little belly and gently kiss that nose.
I’m not sweepy. You’re sweepy.
Lala has the right idea. Wish I could take a nap right now.
I almost had a nap. But Smol One decided that it was more important for me to hear her sing.
Oh, and she LOATHES spinach.
I wanna rock a wombat to sleep! First so alert and then sooooo sleepy.🥱 Their little feets look so much like hands in that position. So sweet💙
I’m gaga over LaLa!! Those feetsies just killed me, and like babies everywhere is fighting the sandman until resistance is futile.
