And finally: Cat Parkour
Andrew Y. brings us a cat’s-eye view.
Kitty parkour is so interesting, though I held my breath when he leaped across the rooftops (so gracefully).
Somehow my favorite part is the paws at the bottom of the frame.
Bubbles & Buttercup are too cute!!
Scooby is hilarious. (I, too, tend to get annoyed when people sneeze.)
Ronald who took 15 tries to find his forever home…I could make a political joke about that but I won’t. 😛
Made me nervous but kitty was absolutely fine on those narrow ledges and thin branches.
Makes me glad my kitties are indoor cats. Sure, someone’s taken to shredding my drywall, but if she falls off the bed, she won’t get hurt.
Bubbles and Buttercup are amazing–along with their foster parents.
Loved kitty parkour, though I’m terrified of heights. I wouldn’t make a very good cat, I guess.
It’s okay; Stars was afraid of heights, too. The highest I ever saw her get was on the sewing machine under the window in my parents’ room.
Poor Ronald 14 failed adoption!
People often have unrealistic expectation when they adopt pets. When I adopted Skye and Storm this summer at the SPCA they had me fill out a form while we waited before meeting any of the cats. Some of the question were OK like if we had other pets but some made no sense and made me laugh like “I want my cat to come and meet my guests” or “I want my cat to come when I call it”. I answered those with the cat will decide.
I could finish watching the cat parkour it gave me motion sickness.
I guess they want to consider the animal’s personality and match it to what the adopter is looking for in a pet. If the person wants a kitty to snuggle with them on the couch every night, they probably aren’t going to suggest the cat that tends to keep to itself. I imagine they get ‘returns’ for those types of reasons often enough that they want to minimize the chances.
But anyone who expects a cat to reliably come when called probably needs to do more research about cats. 😉
I am disgusted with that SPCA. If they’d been more careful in selecting adopters, Ronald would not have had to go through so many failed adoptions. That’s REALLY sloppy work on the SPCA’s part. Feh. I hope Ronald really has a forever home at last.
I want to take all the babies home with me today. Bubbles and Buttercup are purrfect. I am seriously having to talk myself out of going to adopt them. Their rescue is not even 20 minutes from my house. I’ve got to remember my two dogs and I don’t think they’d appreciate any cats in “their” house. Talkative Scooby cracked me up. I liked this comment from the Youtube comments – He looks like a Maine Coon and a Siamese had a very angry love affair. He’s an interesting bred I hadn’t heard of before – Oriental Longhair. So glad Ronald finally find his peeps. Kitty parkour made me dizzy and nervous. I don’t think I could be a cat, have a huge fear of heights and no depth perception.
Hurrah for sweet Ronald!
Scooby comes across like a self-centered diva. In other words, a cat.
That tail though, would make a fox jealous.
Bubbles and Buttercup are perfect.
I dunno, cat parkour kinda makes me want to become a cat burglar.
