The Story of Ivy

When hikers spotted an orphaned fawn in the forest, the brave baby swam straight to them. That’s the story about how little Ivy got herself rescued, refreshed, and released — with a new friend. (via Murray C.)

Poor little one! Who’s killing all the mommy deer🤨?

Cars, trucks and other traffic using roads.

Coyotes, wolves, puma, cougar, mountain lion.

Wrong time of year for hunters to be killing the deer, as deer hunting season is in the fall, long before fawns are born and get that big. Special permits needed to kill female deer, and most hunters want the larger bucks anyway.

Aww, this was so sweet. Glad the people knew who to call and Ivy wasn’t just left out there to fend for herself. And she got a special friend too!

Who’s cutting onions again, dang it?! So happy for all the little fawns who needed help.
