When you go out for a picnic, you expect a pleasant day
But a freakish beast awaits you with a toll you have to pay
He’s only got one question, and he’s not afraid to ask it
He’ll look up with a goofy grin and say “what’s in that basket?”
If you packed a box of goodies, best be sure that you are able
To share a proper portion when you sit down at his table

I would absolutely pack an extra basket for this troll.
NTMTOM *always* gets the win during National Poetry Month! Delightful basket of madness here.
“Delightful basket of madness” is such a perfect description of this site…
Those eyes! That tongue! Epic.
that tongue is out of control.
Needs its own picnic basket.
Really DOES look like a troll, but incredibly happy!
I was half expecting a bear, yet I was not disappointed.
Great poetry NTMTOM. That troll is far cuter than the fairy tale ones. I’d pack treats and water in a basket for this hungry and thirsty doggie.
I bet his tongue gets dry…
I don’t a pic-a-nic basket but will spaghetti with homemade meat sauce suffice?
Awww… now there’s a troll I enjoy. Hopefully you got some slurps of something cutie smile. 🙂
Love the “Bad Poetry” tag!
Must be from the Lower Peninsula of Michigan. (You know, from under the Mackinaw Bridge)! <3
