“Wombat” was a clue on Jeopardy! last night and I thought of you all. And it was a video! (The category was Australian Wildlife; there was also a cute koala video clue.)
What was the question?
“The common species of this burrowing marsupial can weight up to 80 pounds”
with a video of a wombat walking through some grass.
I’m sure I would have gotten it with just the clue but of course as soon as I saw the video I answered before he finished reading the clue.
That was the $1000 clue; the other clues were:
$200: A Port Macquarie hospital specializes in treating these critters, including the one seen here, who was rescued from a bush fire (with video of adorable koala whose ears looked burned on the edges)
$400: This wild dog of Australia rarely barks but it does howl like a wolf
$600 (Daily Double): This creature with a fierce reputation is Australia’s largest carnivorous marsupial
$800: Spiny anteater is another name for this egg-laying mammal

I like Ken Jennings as host (though Mayim Bialik came back this week and will finish out the season; not a huge fan of her but it won’t stop me watching). Ken is hosting the Masters Tournament starting next Monday (in primetime).
Well, the first time I’ve ever seen a Spotted llama! And she is just so cute!

I’m seeing a pink elephant! According to the cartoons I watched as a kid it means I’m drunk! Wow I’m also seeing a polka dot lama, I really must be drunk … on the cute 🤣

A spotted llama – squeee! Reminds me I should pick up some ice cream on way home. Shane has won my heart, love, just love when something clicks in a feral cat’s brain that “oooh inside life is great – no hunting for food, lots of attention, hey life is gooood now”. So happy that grandma got over her fear of dogs. Her bringing in the bones (so huge!) and the panda toy just cracked me up. Those dogs aren’t spoiled at all. Goat yoga is in my old stomping grounds! Lived out in that area in the early 2000s. Very pretty but oh so rural. Like the wife in Green Acres, give me city life! A pink elephant, now that’s something new. Hopefully, won’t be too attractive to predators (but really, who goes after elephants???)
