I saw the chimpanzee video yesterday, seeing how amazed she is at seeing the sky for the first time in her life brought tears to my eyes.
The flying squirrel faking an injury brought a different kind of tears because I laughed so hard and I much prefer that kind of tears to the other kind. And yes give that hairy con man an Oscar!

Feel bad for all the Persian cats who were locked up after their owner died. Glad they got new homes (and hope all the people who applied and didn’t get one decide to adopt a different kitty).

Vanilla’s look around got me all choked up, every time I watch the video. Plus that hug! Need to show that video to anyone who says we’re not related or they’re “just animals”. Glad the Persian kitties are going to new homes. When I first read the story, I was ticked off for the courts going against the owner’s wishes and not keeping them together. But I didn’t know they weren’t free-roaming, just stuck in cages and that they really didn’t like each other. Sounds like the best solution – new homes/families to spoil them AND everything is paid for. Those water glass kittens would get me pretty annoyed, guess it’s a good way for people to learn to pick up after themselves. Bobo the drama king!! That is too dang funny.
I was asking “why do you keep leaving cups of water around?!” If I had those cats I’d be drinking from a bottle with a leakproof cap!
It did remind me of the time my ex and I woke up to find Pablo drinking from his glass that he would keep on the headboard at night. He started keeping it on the nightstand after that. I wonder how many times he did it before getting caught? 😄
20 years ago I used to baby sit my friend’s cat for a week or so at a time. I used to always have a glass with me—UNTIL I caught the cat 3 times in one day drinking out of it! I mean, he had his own water! From then on I have always put my drink in a bottle, even with no slurping cat around😁
I put out a tumbler on my bedside table for that reason. Three cats later I’m still doing this.
Water bowls are for dogs and peasants.
