Mama ferret is so sweet. I would let her drag me anywhere by a finger.
So on my way to work this morning, I noticed a storefront with the windows covered with brown paper and a new logo on the door…I thought it said Thompson Park, which is the park right down the street, but the logo had a dog silhouette and at the last second as I passed by it registered that it actually said Thompson Bark. I’m guessing doggie daycare but google only found a business registration (it was just registered a few months ago) that doesn’t say what kind of business it is. Will have try to look again on my way home and see if there’s more info on the door.
I second Allein’s comments on mama ferret. I’m watching His Dark Materials, and Lyra’s daemon Pan sometimes turns into a pine marten, which I love. (Pan also takes the form of an ermine, a red panda, and an Arctic fox. Absolutely fantastic series.)

I’ve seen ferrets do that before, and I can never tell if they’re showing off their babbies or just trying to keep all the little pink things (babies, fingers) in the same place.
Mama ferret may be showing kits to solicit food for them? People get drunk and ride horses? That horse is not safe with that idiot.
I talked to a former animal control cop on a different site who lived in a small town where a local alcoholic would ride a donkey down to the bar, tie it to a post outside, disappear for hours. She’d eventually emerge, heave herself over the saddle and ride home, sometimes corpse style. She, uh, wasn’t taking great care of this donkey, so animal control re-homed it with someone who’d love and care for it like all donkehs deserve.
The lady put up a huge sign in front of her house that said “ANIMAL CONTROL STOLE MY ASS.”
Wow. Just wow.

Awwwsome and awesome stories this morning. Layla and Derek, just so happy that they have families now, especially Derek finding his people again. Ferret mama is just so proud but like Blue Footed Booby said, she may be trying to keep all the warm pink things together, lol. The parrot had me in stitches, I had to send it to a friend (just happens to be Mexican) and she was ROFLing. Told her that’s what chihuahuas would say if they could talk.
