A Very Fiona Thanksgiving

Apparently, hippo families have Thanksgiving squabbles too. It starts with the kids (of course), whose constant bickering draws in their mother, who then takes it out on dad. All this in front of astonished zoogoers who gave thanks for the thick glass window separating them.

omg…at 0:16 – “Sit your butt down, young man!”

I’d be thankful for the window, too.

The kids are driving the mom crazy and she takes it out on the hubby, typical family dynamics.

Thank you for this. Animals know how to do love and gratitude. We would well to learn from them.

I am grateful that the Canada goose couple that nests next to my house returned last week. They have come for 25 years. (This is the second generation.) They usually come in the early spring, but I think climate change and habitat changes have their routine out of whack. Now I get to love them in the off season.

Take care, everyone. I am grateful for all of you.

Reminds me of the time Grogu, Rey, and I went to Thanksgiving at the home of my friend, who owns Grogu’s brother, Mando. Rey was quite overwhelmed with all the male attention and flipped over on her back, which only made Mando more interested in sniffing her. Grogu decided he wasn’t about to let his brother sniff his wife, and the two boys started snarling and snapping over poor Rey. Literally over her! Grogu and Rey have not been invited back. (Of course the two boys got snatched up before they could hurt each other).

I can almost hear the dads(Tucker ?) complains, “Aw, come on Bibi, what did I do wrong now ?”
