The meerkat story is a little sad, it’s nice that she was accepted by the mongooses after her mate died but couldn’t they find her another mate?

Love the porcine content today. And how I would love to be chased by an alpaca! The trotting reminds me of dancing caribou from last week, which still makes me smile.

Wish I could borrow one of your kitties. On the up side, so many people are working from home because of yesterday’s snow so it’s nice and quiet here for once.

Pipes at my office froze so trying to work from home and watch only positive tv today.
meanwhile I realized that my cat does nothing all day while i’m gone.
At least I turned on her heating pad since I’m home.
I debated sharing this because I know no one wants to think about today’s events here, but among all of the news/politics channels on youtube doing live streams of the inauguration, the MeidasTouch Network (very much a politics channel) is doing a live stream of cute animals. As I’m typing this we’re looking at a trio of Silkie chickens. Apparently I missed some goats in pajamas. He said there might be some mini-pigs and hamsters coming up. The money they raise through the live stream is going to the humane society.
Oh, now he’s switched to animals in costumes…

I was quite relieved to still be in hospital today as it took my mind off the goings-on in Washington. On the debit side, my liver biopsy was cancelled but has been scheduled for 2.30 tomorrow afternoon, which hopefully will confirm the diagnosis of Autoimmune Hepatitus and enable treatment to begin.
There was a funny (in retrospect) incident early on Sunday morning: a confused elderly man with a walker, probably from the ward next door, shuffled into the women’s Gastro ward and stood at the end of each bed trying to work out where he was. He was quickly ushered out by a nurse but not before leaving a small clock in the bathroom (!) Honestly, I don’t think I stand stand much more of this excitement…

My cats do the same. When I wfh, I often turn on the heated mattress pad for them–it’s chilly in the bedroom. Now that my office is in the bedroom, I get to watch them sleep on the bed all day, wishing I could join them.
Don’t hate me peeps but you can always come to my house to warm up. It’s sunny and going to be close to 70 F today. Alpaca reminds me of Pepe LePew with his prancing and yeah, I’d love to chased by one. I know many people say that a party doesn’t get started til the pig shows up but I don’t think this is what they meant, lol. So glad Sparkles wasn’t on the menu and now is living her best life. Finishing up my cuppa and then off to the museum. I’ve instituted a news blackout for today and trying to think positive thoughts. Interestingly the word of the day from my Wordsmith email is nefandous, meaning “so wicked as to defy description: abominable, appalling.” I wonder if they were trying to make a point???
I saw that, too, and yes, I do believe he’s making a point. Curious what the rest of the week will bring. Hopefully it’s not a theme within the theme.

Finally got to meet the meerkat/mongoose family, and the happy goldie with his hoomins. It’s wonderful to see such happiness.
