A rainy day provides the perfect opportunity to clean house, in this adorable video found by Dana D.

I’m not sure if the video of the frog cleaning is stop motion but it sure looks like it, CGI is great but I was raised on Ray Harryhausen’s stop motion creatures in movies like Sinbad and Jason and the Argonauts so it has a special place in my heart.
Love stop-motion! many of my favorite kid Christmas movies have that.
There’s CGI now that can mimic real stop motion by–as far as I can tell–using a low framerate and adding “jitter” to how far it steps along the pre-programmed animation. As in, for some frames it moves a little too far, others not far enough, and adds in a little bit of random wobble so you get that slightly wonky feel that real stop motion has. It’s pretty impressive stuff, even if it doesn’t have the magic of the handmade classics.
I think these cute frogs might be a mix of stop motion and puppetry?
Think froggy would be willing to come help me out?

Squiggle is adorable! I’m glad they left him for the mom to reclaim first. Evidentially young squirrels turn into good, if rambunctious, pets. Like how one visit outside was enough for him!

Harpurr – go Speed Racer, Go!!!! If that’s his regular speed, what’s his zoomies like? I don’t know how that frog video was done but wowza, just amazing! And Froggy can come clean at my house anytime. That wombat video was kinda distracting, didn’t know whether I should watch the wombats or Dad, lol. Hubba hubba, man down unda. Owls in towels never gets old, such different reactions – some are resigned, others indignent, and a few just look blissed out.
