I thought the expression was “a bull in a china shop” not ” an elephant in a convenience store”… Must be a regional thing, I guess.

    Thailand,

Where Addressing The Elephant In The Room is not just an expression.

Poor elephant – I wonder what all that plastic and packaging will do to his tummy.

That was my first thought, too.

Well … maybe my second thought. Because WOW BIG ANIMAL IN SHOP.

Why do you rob convenience stores? Because that’s where the snacks are!

I’ve heard of arroz con pollo (chicken & rice) but I always thought the poultry had to be cooked thoroughly. That little mousie is living the best life! Such a cutie too. Hannah Shirley lives in my area, saw all about her bday celebration in the news. Can’t believe she made it to 51. Doesn’t look a day over 30, must be all the mud baths and soaking that keeps her looking so youthful. Who’s mama’s sweet lil vampire? Yes, you. You are! He can come nibble on my neck anytime, lol.

I love Captain the little vampire cat, I really wouldn’t mind have a cat that stays a kitten forever.

Glad the boy and pups are safe but I can’t help but wonder if the boy’s name is Timmy.

Ok, I know that we joke about having House Hippos, but I guess in Hannah Shirley’s case, they really did?

    Doesn’t sound healthy for her.

It’s almost never a good idea to keep a large exotic animal as a pet. Yes, pygmy hippos are still pretty large.

Many of the animals at The Wild Animal Sanctuary come from similar situations. They’re carnivores, so when that cute little tiger cub or bear cub gets big, it can tear your face off. Not at all a smart plan for walking meat sacks to have them as pets.

        Yeah, “pygmy” is relative…

Adult pygmy hippos stand about 75–100 cm (2.46–3.28 ft) high at the shoulder, are 150–175 cm (4.92–5.74 ft) in length and weigh 180–275 kg (397–606 lb).

        Common hippo:
Males: 1,546 kg (3,408 lb), on average (up to approximately 2,065 kg, or 4,552 lb)** Females: 1,385 kg (3,053 lb), on average (up to approximately 1,850 kg, or 4,080 lb)
        Height: 150-165 cm (4.9-5.4 ft)
Length: Males: 300-505 cm (10-16.6 ft) Females: 290-430 cm (9.5-14 ft)

lol…tonight’s Jeopardy game had a category called THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM.

There was also a clue about the booby (blue-faced, not blue-footed).
