On my way to work this morning I saw a turtle (tortoise? I dunno) crossing the road. It was dark, maybe 4-5 inches long. It was about halfway across the other lane (on a two lane road). There was no traffic coming from the opposite direction so I’m pretty confident it would have had enough time to get to the other side. No word as to why it crossed the road. 🐢

I know a lot of people don’t but I like snakes but a snake with a knitted bonnet? You have to admit it’s cute!
Is that a King Cobra? that kind of creeped me out but the snake looks happy.
