Never, ever, heard this song until my mid-forties, when I transferred to a school that used this song in their Christmas celebration. I am very fond of it now😉
I never heard it till my 50s at least. Somehow it never made the rotation on any radio station I listened to. And I listened to a lot of Top 40 when I was a little kid—mostly WMCA, Fabulous 57, Home of the Good Guys, but occasionally 77, WABC.
(Does this ring bells for anyone else? These were NY Metro Area AM stations.)
