Nut in a Hut

Native to tropical regions, the Polynesian Coconut Hamster (domus testacea) adapts to its environment in a unique way.

Time to see what’s going on in the world…

Although it will occasionally venture from its protective shell…

I mean, how bad could it be?

It will quickly decide that was a bad idea and retreat to safety once again.

Hamster is now completely inside coconut shell so that only its tail is visible.

Totally agree. Loving that fluffy butt in the last pic. And sometimes it’s not even the election that prompts my NOPE, NOPE, NOPE response. Like yesterday, spilled an entire cup of tea on my work desk (soaking my daily log book, arghhh!) and me. Walked around the rest of the day smelling like chai tea, lol.

I totally identify. I just wish I had, and could fit into, half a coconut shell.

Hamster wishes he could fit into half a shell too.

So I will trade him his coconut shell for an overturned plastic container, big enough to fit not only him but an entire ‘horde’ of hammies.
