And so we begin the yuletide season with a duck named Chestnuts, found by Dana D.
I was thinking before watching the video of Chestnut the duck in front of the fire, if they’re not playing that song they are idiots!! LOL!!

I made mall Santa blush.
I found an absolutely adorable sweatshirt in a ladies’ loungewear store. I was going to get hubby, but I heard bells indicating that Santa was coming. So I approached him and asked if he would mind coming into a store so I could show him what I would like for Christmas. He asked which store, and I pointed to La Vie en Rose. He turned a very interesting shade of red and suggested that I take a picture of the item and show him that instead!

Ooh Peking Duck is on the menu tonight! Anyone got some hoisin or plum sauce?? Just kidding!!!! Or he’s playing the lazy version of hokey pokey. That duck is living his best life, a warm fire always feels good on the tootsies.
I’m late so no one will see this, but on the original Instagram post of that duck, there’s a roaring debate over whether the duck is actually blissing out or being exploited for content. The duck experts (whether they actually are expert, I can’t judge) say a duck NEVER lies on its back voluntarily and it stresses them out to be put in that position. It’d be interesting to know. ALSO, there’s a mystery about the SONG. It says Frank Sinatra but that is CLEARLY Nat King Cole. It turns out it was a duet on a Sinatra ALBUM (so he automatically gets listed for the credit) where they both sang the song, but Cole obviously went first.
I see it. 🙁 Instagram kinda makes it difficult to scroll through comments easily but I looked and saw one comment that said it can disrupt their breathing to be lying on their back. I hope he’s okay.
