More Maru Memories

This month’s Maru video takes us back to 2010, in which Maru wears his version of the happy hoodie, plays Mr. Tambourine Man, covets a sink strainer, cleans the bathroom, and of course climbs into box after box.

Weekend Open Thread

Welcome to Caturday! Cutetropolis reader Sowmya D. brings us two kitties who are decidedly decaffeinated.

Scoreboard says Cats 1 / Coffee 0. Nikolai Devinovich (twisted in his Jameson box) and Ekaterina Velikaya (curled up in an aesthetically pleasing pose) are winning Saturdays.

Two cats with fluffy orange fur lie on a beige carpet. One of the cats is half inside an empty box under a table with the word "Jameson" printed on it, while the other is curled up next to the table. There is an empty mug between them.
And the best way to win is not to play.

Miri is Serious

Birds are serious business, and normally playful Kitten Miri gets focused when they’re nearby. Even more serious: Getting her paws washed.

Weekend Open Thread

We’re having open thread on the patio today, because reader N. Fritz is introducing us to a new friend who leads a life of danger.

This is Ramses. His human is my bf’s sister. Ramses shows up in our garden sometimes, and now that Mutz (rhymes with “puts”) is no longer a rival, we try to make him feel welcome. Shortly after this photo was taken, a neighbor reported that Ramses darted across the busy street in front of our house and “may” have been hit by a car. We’ve all spent a couple of nervous days until this afternoon, when my bf’s sister reported that Ramses was alive and well. Phew!

What! I’m fine, chill.
