The centuries-old game of chess underwent many changes in its early years, with many pieces evolving or disappearing until the game took its present-day form. One piece eliminated was the dalmatian, which due to its black-and-white coloring was allowed to traverse any square on the board, but mainly just kept knocking over the other pieces.

They were getting all cranky and fidgety so we’re taking a break. Also, I ran out of ink. As soon as hubby gets back from the hardware store I can finish the ears and splatter ’em a bit more.
