I made an early start on Sunday morning. Steve slept in on Sundays; with luck he wouldn’t notice until I crossed the state line. I charged a tank of gas and a couple of tuna sandwiches to his Visa card and as I sat there eating I could almost hear the ocean waves lapping against the rocks, as clear as my dreams…
