Where do wombats get the energy to be such furry high-speed battering rams? From a steady diet of grass, and lots of it; wombats will spend between three and eight hours a night grazing for their favorite grass, plus roots and bark. Glad you could make it on such short notice, because they say you’re one of the best sound-effects rabbits in the business. What happened was they wrapped shooting on “Peter Cottontail and the Carrot Patch of Doom” but the microphones didn’t pick up sound during the all-important garden ravaging scene. So just give us a solid eight minutes of munching and we’ll loop it in post-production. This will be take one, aaaaaaaannnnd… rolling!
The foster family looking after Kathryn the wombat brought home a big box of veggies for all the animals in their care, but Kathryn took one look and decided it was all hers. The greedy little girl nibbled this and nibbled that, but finally settled on a single sweet potato. “What can I say?” says Kathryn, “I yam what I yam.”
