Rock-a-bye wombat, with your big nose
Real big incisors and sharp pointy toes
(We can’t see them now, but we know they’re there)
So sleep and be peaceful, don’t mind if we stare.

I would sing that lullaby every day if I had my own wombat.
It was a perfect little wombatty poem.
Accent on the “batty”!! HaHa.
We’re all a little wombatty around here, aren’t we?
May I try another?
Twinkle, twinkle little wombat,
Stay away from human combat.
Down below the earth please hide,
Far from human woes reside,
We all want to be like youse,
Snuggled up for a long snooze.
Beautiful! Youse are very tallented, ^oo^ 🙂
Oh, well done, ^oo^!
Excellent! “Youse” is a nice touch.
Yay! Wombat Wednesday is back!!!
May it never go away again! Moar wombatz plz!!!!
I’ll do what I can. Good pictures/videos of wombats are harder to come by than pictures of household pets, so I really shouldn’t promise a weekly feature, as much as I’d like to.
There’s also On Wednesdays We Wear Pink. You can always mix it up.
Yay for Wombat Wednesday, even if it isn’t every Wednesday!
We could fill it out with other “W” creatures too (here’s a list I found at Zooborns: ‘Water Voles, Walruses, Whales, Wildcats, Wildebeests, Wolverines, Wolves’).
Oh hey – I can do Walrus Wednesday too! No problem! Great suggestions Smartypants!
Thank you!
No, thank You, Smarty pants!
Yay for wombatses!
Hown about wily coyotes???
It’s our job to help Mike suss out cute pics of these creatures! Think of yourselves as Cutetropolis Gazette correspondents, out on the job searching out all that’s cute – bring it back to the newsroom for immediate publication so that rest of us can see and enjoy!
Oh, and Warthogs. And Weevils – they’re not cute, but then we could make puns about ‘the lesser of two weevils.’ 😀
I thought that was gonna happen on Tuesday. Weevils indeed.
‘Master and Commander’ reference! 😀 😀 (Seriously, one of my top 10 favourite movies.)
I like this idea.
…and Woodchucks (groundhogs) – they even look a bit like wombats.
Love the poem, and love that snozz!!!!!!
What did you find out at the doctor, Birdcage?
Yes, Birdcage, what’s going on?
Wombats. They’re like really huge hamsters. ^_^
On Wednesdays, we “w” animals wear pink.
New Super Heroes! Wombatman and Wobbin!
I’d watch it.
Me too – I hear you can stream it on Wamazon! 😀
