Boof the Goof

Boof the wombat had been kept as a pet indoors, so when he was taken in by Wombat Awareness sanctuary, at first he was aggressive and scared of the light. But after lots of playtime and cuddles, he can’t get enough of the great outdoors. (video by The Dodo)

Let’s spend a little more quality time with the Boofster.

Nice find for Wombat Wednesday, 6rabbits.

Someday, when I have a wombat, s/he will get to go outdoors with plenty of sunshine and scritchies. Boof looks so happy.

Boof deserves extra scritches and only sunny days.

I think Boof like all wombat is really cute and I’m really happy he is now in a good place and enjoying lots of belly scratches and sunshine.

I suppose it’s weird but ever since we learned about the wombat square poop, I keep hoping someone will catch one in a video in flagrante delicto. ?

Wombat Square Poop – yet another inspired band name.

Yes, a new animated series. I remember a bit I saw about wombats and there was one little darling named Emily – they were trying to test her for something and needed to collect her poop. They were running around after her with a scoop on a long stick trying to keep it under her butt. Finally they fed her something that dyed her poop blue so they could distinguish it from all the other wombats in the – hmmmmm, what would a collective noun of wombats be…………. A trundle of wombats? A waddle of wombats?

According to NatGeo, a group of wombats is a wisdom.

No, no, no. A waddle of wombats is SOOOO much more apropos! Whoever decided on wisdom must not have spent time observing wombats!!

I loved how he threw himself down on the grass! SO adorable. And I so want to scritch a wombat – they look so sturdy and huggable.

I have decided I need an internship as a wombat cuddler.
Gigi, when this happens I will put your request at the top of my list.

    Totally forgot I submitted this!
I love how happy Boof is now! He almost flops and rolls like a bunny.
I think the gang here out to take a trip down under to volunteer at the wildlife sanctuaries! (Australian Bat Sanctuary and Wildlife Trauma Center has actually been asking for volunteers!)
