Guy Surprised to Find Foxes On His Roof, Then Realizes How They Got There

And finally: The Flipping Bird
A current YouTube fad consists of people flipping water bottles so that they land on end. Coco here couldn’t find a bottle, but she can sure sent a paper roll spinning.

I’m prepared to watch Coco the Flipping Bird all day, except when I have to work.
I just watched it at least a dozen times..
Gives a new connotation to “flipping” and “bird,” doesn’t it?
Hehe, did you see the video a few months ago where Bernie Sanders was speaking and a bird flew up and landed on the podium? (It became a meme – my fave caption was “Bernie Sanders is officially a Disney Princess.”)
Birdie Sanders!
I like it! š
The bar showing the animal videos instead of the inauguration is in Brooklyn on Church Ave. between E. 8th and E. 7th Sts. I lived on E. 8th off Church when I was in law school. Bar wasn’t there then but I’m glad to see the neighborhood developing in the right direction.
I could, theoretically, go there after work…
I’ll probably just hang with the cats, though.
Huh! Do you work in Brooklyn? I seem to remember, though my brain is Swiss cheese, that you live in Jersey?
I work in Middlesex County NJ, but Google Maps says it’d take me about an hour and a half to drive there (if I left work at 5pm). Not that I have any desire whatsoever to drive into NYC.
If I choose the “leave now” (9:30am) option, it gives me two driving routes of about an hour each, and a train route that takes 3 and a half hours! It starts out with a half hour walk to the New Brunswick Rail Station. š
LOL. I was going to say that getting to the bar from midtown would be a trek. The closest stop is on the F and taking the F always feels like getting on a wagon train. ENDLESS
I’ve not taken the subway much; when I have I’ve been with someone who knew where they were going. I’d be lost on my own. I used to go into our office in the city every other week or so, and I only had to find my way from Penn Station (7th and 31st St.?) to our office on 5th Avenue, between 17th and 18th (and the first few times I went with a coworker so he could show me how to get there). It wasn’t a bad walk (and I would often take different streets as my whim – or the timing of a red light – dictated to get from 5th to 7th so the scenery would be different each time).
I do love me some brand new, unused, shiny puppy beans.
I would rather watch my toenails grow than watch the inauguration but Coco the flipping bird is a better (and cuter) option!
By the way, I found a variation on that t-shirt at Amazon. It’s not the exact design, but it’s still creepycute. http://amzn.to/2jGYdl3
Yep, definitely creepycute!
*GASP* I NEEEEEEEEED that T-shirt. They need to make a bunny version.
Since I’m (re)watching Daredevil and have reached Season 2 (again), it has particular resonance. Cat Punishers FTW!
I love the linkies today and will indulge in many cute videos to ease my stress. That bar owner has the right idea.
I’m particularly glad to have this refuge today b/c (besides the inauguration) I had really bad nightmares last night and woke up with bad joint pain again. And I’m sad that Miguel Ferrer died (great character actor, marvelous voice, way too young).
On the Plus side – the heat in my building is working, and I have a new Rx to try for inflammation. And I have nice vegan sushi for lunch. I’m going off now to slather myself in Tiger Balm.
Okay, I can squeeze out one charitable remark about today – I do like Melania’s outfit (light blue coat dress thingie with 3/4 sleeves).
“Miguel Ferrer died”
š I hadn’t seen that.. I liked him.
Wasn’t he cool? His IMDb page was blowing up with tributes last night – a lot of people seemed to be moved.
Agree with you on Melania’s outfit, and now I’m bummed about Miguel Ferrer.
Hope all your self-care today helps with the pain, Smartypants. My kitties send you purrs.
Thank you DebG, I appreciate it. Doing better now.
Leaving my computer on Cutetropolis for the day and watching Animal Planet.
Any desire I may have felt to watch the inauguration vanished when I heard that the Aryan Brotherhood Jug Band and Hog-Calling Team couldn’t make it on time.
Oh noes! They are my faves!
But we did have the Mormonacle Tablecream Choir!
Thanks, Mike for the back story on the roof foxes. I had seen the photo elsewhere and thought it was photoshopped.
I watched THE WHOLE THING. Best part was the light blue coat thingy. I watch for the clothes and I’m a Secret Service junky. Those guys are seriously awesome. I like to watch logistics of historic ceremonies and news media coverage. I like seeing stuff like the thickness of the doors on the armored cars.
Your not kidding .. They don’t call that Limo “The Beast” for no reason.
The doors are 8″ thick, and it weights as much as a 757.
(Don’t let it run over your foot .. you will have a new nickname .. Flatfoot .. LOL!)
You have nerves of steel and a strong stomach. It will be impossible to avoid pictures, but I will not see or hear that creature and his troglodyte family speak.
I cannot listen to him talk. My brain just revolts after about 30 seconds.
Yes, I watched his press conference last week and it made my head hurt.
I’m getting paranoid. Last night there was a power cut where I live, and my first thought wasn’t “oh dear, a power cut,” it was “please please don’t let that be the result of a pre-emptive nuclear strike by China.”
š
I frequent a blog that is generally populated by rational, skeptical types, which makes me worry all the more when they post all the doomsday scenarios they think we’re in for. I don’t know how seriously to take them sometimes.
And. Don’t all puppies Kitties lambies etc. have wings? In my mind they do.
