Bored with cardboard boxes, our favorite boxaholic cat seeks new adventures in confinement, from a small bag to a large recycling container. Where will this lead? What exciting new frontiers will Maru conquer tomorrow? Will he dare to confine himself within himself, vanishing into the void of space/time itself?
Cube-shaped cats are so much easier to store.
That was the thing that got me, too. Hilarious.
Allein, I do not wish to disagree with you, but I’ve always believed that it is the feline ability to become liquid at any given moment that makes them easy to store. They fit into anything.
Actually, that proves your point, so I’ll shut up now.
And, no, autocorrect, I meant liquid, not liquor. Although that would explain a lot, too.
Well, liquor is liquid… π
Haven’t we seen cats shaped like vases on this site?? Or martini glasses? Liquid for sure.

*wild applause*
That sweet face peeking out of the trash box made me feel a lot better about the world. Thank you, Maru.
Yes, and when he’s in the spiffy canvas bag. M&H make everything better.
Ditto. I really needed to see a new Maru and Hana video today. Instant happiness!
Squaring the Circle
Ha! ?
You mean pie really is square?
Of course. Everyone knows pi r squared.
March 15th is one of my favorite holidays.
Yes. Thank you. π
…and that would be the 14th, sorry.
(the 15th would be leftover pi day)
I am going to pretend that it was a typo rather than creeping senility…
Mmmmmmm….
Pie.
?
That’s great pie!
Oh, we should totally do something to observe Pi Day when it comes around. I think we did in 2016.
Yep! I posted a cherry square pi pie in that thread. π
Indeed we did: https://cutetropolis.com/2016/03/14/happy-pie-day/
I’ll remember. π
Good one!
I know we’ve all commented on how clean Mugumogo’s place is…but it’s also really nice and roomy. What does she do that lets her have so much space for Maru and Hana to roam about in? I was always under the impression that Japanese homes were tiny.
I think it’s the relative lack of stuff. Even if I had a mansion–which I don’t–it would look messy because of all my crap. Why can’t I have hobbies that don’t require equipment and materials?
‘Cause then it wouldn’t be a hobby?
Bonus points to you if your hobby produces items that actually DO something, are consumable, or sell for worthwhile amounts of money without either master-level skills or an awful profit/time investment ratio.
Meanwhile, my basement gradually fills up with plastic tanks.
I try to maintain a reasonably balanced number of axis and allies, just in case Toy Story was a documentary.
