This adorable polar bear cub was born last November at Berlin’s Tierpark Zoo, but until his first checkup this month, zookeepers didn’t know his gender. It took weeks of gaining the mother’s trust before the two could be separated for his exam. Tierpark is now asking the public’s help in choosing a suitable name.
So cute I can’t bear it, Sharon H.
How about “Heineken”? In honor of his adorable butt.
😀
Oh, he’s perfect! How does his mama keep his fur so clean?
Maybe “Snowball” or “Iceberg”? (in German). Or a variant of his mother or father’s name?
Baymax :3
XD
Seconded! Someone who has a Twitter account, please suggest it! https://twitter.com/zooberlin/status/819928959588696064
Done!
Uh, the reference is lost on me….. Help?
The character of Baymax is a cuddly robot featured in the Disney film “Big Hero 6.” I can see a slight resemblance in the face.
Ah, thank you. And, yes, I think, knowing what I now know, that it’s a great name for the little bear!
If they go with that name I hope they make a little armor suit for him to go with it.
John Snowball.
GOOD ONE!!!
Schnee (that’s snow in German)
Definitely not KEVIN!!!
What’s German for Boaty McBoatface?
I wish we could could “like” people’s comments!
Shouldn’t that be Bearsy McBearface?
Yes!
Every polar bear boy reminds of dearly departed Knut, but this little guy especially so. What a cutiepatootie.
YES, dear little Knut. This little guy is adorable, sweet little ferociousness.
In that first pic he’s doing a good imitation of a stuffie, so…”Gund”?? Although I do like Baymax also, but that might be too American.
Gunther. He looks like a Gunther.
The first thing that came to mind was “Cuddles”, but by the end of the year it would not seem appropriate given his bulk. Maybe Cuddles McFearsome? 🙂
