On Your Mark, Get Set, Cheat

“And we’re ready for the fourth race here at Pugmont Downs. As the racers take their places, we have Pained Expression at the pole, followed by Chubby Chaser, Furrowed Lang Syne, Bugeyed Bill, Sausage Roll… and we may have a disqualification: number 12, Screaming Mimi, is trying to jump the gun.”

I prefer to call it an alternate starting line.

Those two in the back there look like imposters…

Thank you for sharing this error with me. It sounds like a one-time thing, but I will be alert for it again.

It happened yesterday, too. I was also getting blank white screens after posting a comment sometimes (but the comment still posted; the page just didn’t load). But only in Chrome at work; I posted this and my last comment from IE.

*same thing happened the first time I tried this comment in Chrome*

      Rather pugnacious of them, yes?

I’m wondering if it’s something to do with my work’s network. This isn’t the only site I have issues with (though the other one I’m thinking of gives me issues at home, too), though it’s the only one I’ve had this particular issue with. Who knows.

(Additional note: I did not turn my computer on last night and I don’t think I posted anything from my tablet, so I don’t know for sure if wouldn’t happen at home.)

        Also, “Kentucky Derpy” ๐Ÿ˜›

          Kentucky Derpy – ha!

    • DebG January 24, 2017 / 9:54 am

Yeah, that had me chortling too. Bless you, NOMTOM.

        “Furrowed Lang Syne” got me!

Trying to hold back the other 98%.

Chubby Chaser? Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear โ€ฆ (clutches pearls)

Alternate starting line (sigh) โ€” I appreciate the wit, but I wish I could find anything genuinely funny in the wholesale adoption of Newspeak by the largest media outlets. But the pugs are totes adorbs.

Who the heck has 15 pugs and 2 possible King Charles Cavalier Spaniels?!?!?!?!

Also, I’m loving “Kentucky Derpy” and “Alternative Starting Line”!!!!!

Only NTMTOM could make it cute, funny and subversive.

    You are the Total Package!!

I think there might be another puppers. At the very left side of the picture, it looks like there is a furry black back.
And Screaming Mimi isn’t the only one with great expectations. Someone on the right there is advancing a paw.

    • Jakepets January 24, 2017 / 12:11 pm

Maybe a black pug? Note the curly tailio.

  7. Catwhisperer January 24, 2017 / 1:13 pm

Maybe this whole “alternative” thing isn’t all bad… I could get behind alternative work (with an office in Cutetropolis).

    • 6rabbits January 24, 2017 / 10:57 pm

I like “alternative starting line” a LOT better than I like “alternative facts”! Plus, cute pugs help.?
